How to make an omelet that is perfect

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. But how do you create them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

Before we start making omelets, let's remember that eggs are temperamental. Eggs must be purchased fresh, preferably organic, and kept chilled until ready for cooking. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. This will make your omelets appear strangely colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

You can also separate the egg before you add it to the pan. You don't want the white to get mixed with the yolk, as this could cause the egg to curdle.

The egg can burn if it is placed directly on the stovetop. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. Mix eggs well together. To do this, grab the bowl of the mixer and turn it upside down. Then shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. Once the oil has gotten hot, add 1/4 cup of butter and swirl it around so that the entire pan is coated. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the other side for another minute or two. Take out the omelet and place it in a bowl.

This recipe works best when you use whole milk.
